According to Save the Children’s data collected in the Istat 2024 study, in Italy, just 16.8% of women aged 25 to 34 with a degree in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) are employed, compared to 37% of men. In this context, VisMederi is noteworthy for its inclusive policy.

“At VisMederi, we believe that a company’s value is determined by its ability to recognize and value talent, regardless of gender. Today, our company is mainly made up of women, who work at all levels, from research to management. “This proves that inclusion and merit can and must coexist,” said Sara Pugliese, CEO of VisMederi Holding.

The group’s dedication to gender equality can be seen not only in the figures, but also in workplace policy. VisMederi is actively dedicated to providing flexible working conditions and creating an environment in which each individual can fully demonstrate their skills.

“We recognize that creating a fair and inclusive environment can be both a matter of social responsibility and a competitive advantage. Working in an environment that recognizes everyone’s skills without discrimination promotes more creativity, innovation, teamwork, and efficiency,” Pugliese said.

Recognizing women’s significant roles in science and research is not only an ethical value, but additionally a strategic driver of commercial success. VisMederi Group will continue its efforts to ensure that the future of research allows everyone to reach their full potential and contributions.

“We want to be a reference point for the future of scientific research, demonstrating that talents are gender-neutral and that everyone should have equal access to chances. Pugliese summarized, “Our goal is to help build an increasingly fair and meritocratic industry, where talent and commitment are the only evaluation criteria.”
